As an Executive Director of the ASEAN University Network (AUN), an inter-governmental organisation under the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat, Dr Dhirathiti shares his As an Executive Director of the ASEAN University Network (AUN), an inter-governmental organisation under the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat, Dr Dhirathiti shares his experience on public sector strategies, policy consultancy and human resource development in relation to the work of this regional and multilateral cooperation in Southeast Asia. AUN and Australia’s partnership is an exciting one and AUN currently boasts 30 core members with 200 associate members and growing.
Dr Dhirathiti will talk about the importance of ELT in the ASEAN region and the relevance to Australia. He will highlight his experience of Quality Assurance (QA) and emphasise the bilateral opportunities through systematic exchange in areas related to the English language teaching (ELT) sector. AUN, as a global initiative, is becoming integral to the mobilisation of the collective capacities of the ELT profession to tackle global challenges. Dr Dhirathiti will outline the research AUN is conducting to identify solutions for responding to some of the common challenges in ELT.
