Bio
Dr Kirsty McGeoch (B.Com, LLB, CELTA, MEd, PhD) has been an educator for over 20 years. Her early career was in TESOL, working in ELICOS settings in Australia and abroad. She completed her PhD research in digital storytelling as a tool for languages education in 2012. Since then, she has worked in pre-service and post-graduate teacher education courses at the University of Sydney, primarily in the areas of pedagogy, media arts, reflective practice, TESOL and community languages, and is energised by ways of teaching and learning that engage creativity alongside the expression of voice and identity. In 2019, she joined the team at 4C Transformative Learning and enjoys the challenge of working with teachers and executive teams to embed creativity, communication, collaboration and critical reflection into their pedagogical and leadership practices to foster agency in their learning communities.
