Bio
Stephen (Steve) Heap is a coordinator and trainer on the (now online) International Diploma in Language Teaching Management (IDLTM).
From 1995-2015 Steve was a Senior Academic Manager/DOS in the University of Queensland’s Institute of Continuing and TESOL Education (ICTE), and is a recipient of the English Australia/IELTS Award for Academic Leadership. Whilst at UQ-ICTE, as well as juggling the usual DOS responsibilities for the management of EAP, GE and BE courses, amongst other things Steve coordinated the IDLTM, was an IELTS examiner trainer, was interim DOS at the UQ-UD English Language Institute in Vietnam and consulted for UNESCO in North Korea. Steve has previously taught in England, Nigeria, Malta, Malaysia and Brunei, and as well as his involvement in the IDLTM, Steve teaches annually on a pre-sessional English course for post-graduate students in Myanmar.
