Who we are
NEAS (National ELT Accreditation Scheme) is Australia's quality assurance body for English Language Teaching (ELT). NEAS drives excellence in education by delivering trusted quality assurance services for the entire ELT community.
What does NEAS stand for?
NEAS stands for National ELT Accreditation Scheme, a registered charity and quality assurance agency for English language education in Australia.
At the heart of our work is the NEAS Quality Assurance Framework, a benchmark that sets and upholds high standards, helps centres demonstrate quality, and guides continuous improvement.
The NEAS tick is a mark of trust, recognised by students, parents, education agents, teachers, and professional staff, and highly regarded by government and regulatory bodies.
NEAS supports ELT Centres with quality endorsement, professional development for educators and managers, and approval of teacher qualifications. NEAS also endorses ELT qualifications across all sectors and highlights best practice through recognition of premium products and long-standing commitment to quality.
As a Not for Profit Registered Charity, NEAS Australia is regulated by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). For more information, see the ACNC website. NEAS Australia is a founding member of QALEN (the Quality Assurance in Language Education Network), a global consortium of Quality Assurance Agencies. For more information, see the QALEN website.
