COVID 19 Announcement – 2020 NEAS Management Conference

Each year, we look forward to hosting our members, partners and stakeholders at the NEAS Management Conference to advance global quality assurance in English Language Teaching and come together as a community.

Over the past few weeks, we have been closely monitoring and evaluating the situation around COVID-19 to ensure we take the necessary measures to protect the health and wellbeing of attendees. As a result of the government’s enforcement this week of the banning of events of over 100 people, we are obliged to enact force majeure and postpone our 2020 conference.

While we are disappointed that we will not be able to run the conference this year, we have commenced plans to bring you a bigger and better event in 2021. Your ticket for this year’s conference will simply transfer over to the 2021 conference and we will share the details of this event with you as soon as possible. For ticket holders who wish to receive a refund or donate their ticket costs to NEAS to help offset the losses incurred in postponing the conference, these options will be made available to you in the near future.

Although we are no longer able to come together in May, the NEAS team will be running a free webinar on the COVID-19 outbreak to support the ELT community through this time. This will be held on Wed 25th March and we will cover:

1. A summary of the industry regulator’s recommendations

2. Centre-wide strategies

3. ELT delivery strategies
