Saroo Brierley Opening at the 2020 NEAS Management Conference
Saroo Brierley is the author of the best-selling book, ‘A Long Way Home’ which was adapted into the Academy Award nominated film ‘Lion,’ starring Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman, in 2016.
As a five year old, Saroo was separated from his brother in a train station. This event started a journey from the streets of Calcutta, to an orphanage before being adopted by John and Sue Brierley and started a new life in Hobart, Tasmania. However, Saroo was unable and unwilling to forget the land of his childhood and, nearly 20 years later, began a painstaking search for his birth family guided by hazy memories, ingenuity and Google Earth.
Saroo will be presenting this transformative journey at the 2020 NEAS Management Conference.
