Congratulations to University of Newcastle Language Centre on the Renewal of its NEAS Quality Endorsement.

NEAS congratulates the University of Newcastle Language Centre on the positive outcomes of its recent NEAS Management Meeting, reaffirming the Centre’s ongoing commitment to quality English language pathway education. Set within the leafy bushland campus at Callaghan, the Centre continues to provide a supportive academic environment for students preparing for undergraduate and postgraduate study.

The meeting highlighted the Centre’s experienced teaching team, strong academic leadership, and well-structured systems for assessment, course evaluation, and student feedback. NEAS commended the Centre’s weekly skills-based testing, robust use of rubrics, and the increasing focus on validation and moderation practices. The Centre’s innovative Student Experience initiatives — including collaboration with domestic students and speech pathology student engagement — were noted as valuable additions to classroom learning.

NEAS Celebrates the Renewal of Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys’ College Quality Endorsement.

NEAS congratulates Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys’ College on the successful renewal of its NEAS Quality Endorsement. Serving both the Moreton Bay Boys’ and Girls’ Colleges, it continues to provide a highly supportive, well-structured pathway for international students transitioning into mainstream schooling in Queensland.

The recent Quality Review highlighted the Centre’s experienced and dedicated team, strong academic and welfare support systems, and the high level of care provided to students across both campuses. Students benefit from small class sizes, access to mainstream classes, individualised learning tasks, and a nurturing environment set within the Colleges’ distinctive bushland surrounds.

The Centre was commended for its clear organisational structure, rigorous assessment and placement processes, and strong integration of welfare arrangements — including high-quality homestay provision, the use of the Sonder safety app, and comprehensive pastoral care. Facilities, resources, and technology were also noted for creating a comfortable and engaging learning environment.

Congratulations to Hills International College on the Renewal of its NEAS Quality Endorsement.

NEAS congratulates Hills International College (HIC) on the positive outcomes of its recent NEAS Management Meeting, reaffirming the College’s strong commitment to quality across its High School Preparation (HSP) and international programs. Under the leadership of newly appointed Principal Mr Darren Parks, HIC continues to emphasise student wellbeing, global citizenship, and a culture of belonging.

The meeting highlighted the impressive progress made since previous reviews, particularly the redevelopment of the HSP curriculum, the introduction of new integrated-skills syllabi, an updated student orientation program, and a refreshed professional development framework for staff. The Head of International Programs was commended for fostering a strong culture of continuous improvement, supported by clear strategic alignment with the College’s operational and wellbeing goals.

NEAS also recognised the College’s personalised approach to student support, its well-established Homestay program, and the high level of care provided to international students across both HSP and mainstream classes. The Centre’s dedication to reflective practice, ethical governance, and strong stakeholder communication further strengthens its operational quality.

NEAS looks forward to continuing its quality assurance partnership with Hills International College as it prepares for its next full Quality Review in 2026.

NEAS congratulates Language Studies International (LSI) Brisbane on successfully completing the Quality Endorsement Process and receiving subsequent re-endorsement.

NEAS congratulates Language Studies International (LSI) Brisbane on their successful completion of the Quality Endorsement Process and subsequent re-endorsement. Over the past months, NEAS’s Quality Assessor completed an in-depth assessment of LSI’s application and supporting documents and followed up with an onsite Quality Endorsement visit. Structured meetings and interviews with LSI management, teachers and operational staff were completed, and class observations also formed part of the quality audit.  

LSI Brisbane is located in Spring Hill, a central suburb of Brisbane. The campus is a short walk from the central business district and is thus well connected to the public transport network. LSI Brisbane offers courses in General English, IELTS Preparation, Cambridge Preparation and BEC Vantage Cambridge Preparation as well as study tours and English for Specific Purposes classes. LSI’s English for Specific Purposes offerings include an English for Mining course, and weekly Australian culture session are also available for students.

LSI’s Management, Academic and Student Services staff collaborate to foster a welcoming and nurturing environment for students. The centre’s facilities are bright and comfortable, and students report that their confidence and proficiency in speaking English have flourished since joining classes at LSI. NEAS commends LSI for their commitment to quality provision of English language courses.

NEAS congratulates Clinton English on the successful completion of its 2025 Health Check Quality Assurance activity.

The Health Check provided an opportunity for the Centre to reflect on performance across all NEAS Quality Areas (A–G), with self-assessment results indicating a strong commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. The review reaffirmed quality teaching, supportive student services, and well-maintained facilities.

NEAS commends Clinton English for its proactive approach to quality assurance and its willingness to address identified areas for refinement — including ensuring greater alignment between internal documentation and publicly available information relating to course structures, staffing, and program details.

This initiative highlights the Centre’s transparency and professionalism in maintaining the integrity of its operations and communications.
