Stakeholder Survey Reveals Strong Sector Support for Ongoing, Independent, Non-Governmental Expert Quality Assurance of English Language Teaching

NEAS has recently undertaken surveys and interviews with members and key government and education sector stakeholders. Survey responses from 178 key NEAS stakeholders reveals that the majority believe NEAS is a key service offering for the industry, with 38% rating it ‘essential’ (9 or 10). Stakeholders most value NEAS’ quality assurance and endorsement. Continuous improvement is also important to stakeholders who are seeking more professional development from NEAS around online delivery and flexible approaches to adapt to our rapidly changing environment.

With the impact of COVID-19 still reverberating through our society and economy, the English Language Teaching community in Australia is striving to continue to be able to deliver high standards of learning in a fast-changing environment.

It’s already a huge challenge for students to leave their homes and families behind and come to a country where they do not speak the language, to acquire an education, and often take steps to improve their English skills after hours, commonly at their own expense.

As at 1 July 2020, another three quality centres have reached the milestone of 25 years of continuous quality endorsement with NEAS! Each has demonstrated their commitment to quality through 25 years of membership with NEAS and now join the exclusive group awarded the ’25 Years Quality Commitment’ logo. We look forward to celebrating their achievement at the 2021 NEAS Management Conference, confirmed now for 6-7 May 2021, Doltone House Sydney.

The 2021 NEAS Management Conference Date Announced!

The 2021 NEAS Conference will be on the 6th and 7th May 2021.

NEAS wants to thank all the participants and sponsors transferring to the new date for our conference. Our conference will continue to focus on the theme of Transformative Journeys in Education. Other announcements such as speakers and schedule will be announced in the near future,
